Simms Showers, LLP is currently seeking a well-qualified applicant for a Full-Time CSR Paralegal opening in our Leesburg office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, problem-solving, and diligent at meeting crucial deadlines.
This position requires 40 hours per week to take over the Charitable Solicitation Registration process in our Leesburg, VA office. This individual would also assist religious and secular nonprofit organizations with a variety of legal services including incorporation, IRS tax exemption applications, and property conveyances. Exceptional organizational skills are critical, both physically and mentally. Thorough computer skills, strong writing skills, and proficiency in MS Office are essential; familiarity with Timeslips a plus. Professional demeanor, excellent communication, and customer service skills are important to deal with the many churches, non-profit ministries, businesses, and individual clients which Simms Showers, LLP serves. Benefits are included with a full-time position. A 2-year minimum commitment is requested.

We are currently seeking a student who is interested in law to work as an in-office part time intern for 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer, starting September 2021. This position would be for the fall and spring semester of 2021-2022, summer semester and beyond if desired; those willing to commit to a year or beyond will be more highly considered. There is the option of working for school credit and/or compensation.
Duties would include:
- Filing and organizing legal documents into correct client folders
- Scanning and archiving old client folders to be saved in our database
- Answering and directing phone calls to the correct recipient
- Mailing and/or filing legal documents for various attorneys at Loudoun County Courthouse
- Possible legal research projects for various attorneys
- Other duties will vary as the need arises
